It's true what they say. There are no coincidences in life. I didn't always believe this, but I do now and especially after meeting Dr. Raymond and Mrs. Delaney. I have seen what the darkness can do. Lost Souls was just the beginning and I pray the town of Winchester Grove will be strong enough for the slaughter that is soon to come.
Until then, keep a light on in the dark.

"This is quite a haunting story. The fact that it's true makes it even more so. It's the story of an author haunted - literally - by the individuals about whom she wrote in a book about the history of a poor farm in the early 20th century. By connecting with their stories through research they seemingly latched onto her. And that's not all, there is a seemingly evil presence among the specters that prey on this woman who has always been in touch with the spiritual realm - sometimes able to foretell the future in a terrifying way.
As you'll read, spirits like the Black Mist will seem too unbelievable to be true. Yet, the author expresses her experience in such a down-to-earth way that you know her experiences were real. The conversations with her therapist are especially difficult to read. He wants to believe her, but he can't quite convince himself of what he is clearly witnessing.
